Well we know the announcement of the iPhone 4G at WWDC (June 7th) is imminent and we also got out hopes up earlier on this month after we speculated that the Next Gen iPhone, will in fact go on sale during the WWDC, something Apple hasn’t done before.
And now we’re starting to get some evidence which would support this evidence. Walmart have now cut the price of the iPhone 3GS 16GB to just $97, that’s $100 off the normal price. So more than likely they are starting to clear out all stock in preparation for the next iPhone. We’ve also got word that the iPhone 3G is no longer being shipped to stores.
On the Apple website, within the past few hours, there is now no option to buy the iPhone 3G, instead it simply says to pick it up in store. Apple have obviously stopped manufacturing of the iPhone 3G and are no longer shipping it as the next gen iPhone comes in and the iPhone 3GS will probably sink back to replace the iPhone 3G once the iPhone 4G is released.
So place your bets in the comments below as to when you think Apple will release the iPhone 4G for sale?
Will it be at WWDC? Or Later on in the year?
